newspaper. Excellent news coverage, terrific design and easy to navigate.
Adopts a clever mix of tables, graphics and HTML drop-down boxes to allow
for a friendly interface. The "52 weeks Garden" feature is sheer

the Christchurch Press. Good design, easy navigation and professional news
coverage has made this paper consistently one of the best on the Web.
Toronto Star's online equivalent. Excellent
depth of coverage of Canadian news. Easy to navigate and pleasing design
using basic frames. Nice use of picture icons on each news story.

Visitors can search Roger Ebert's database
of movie reviews, or read his latest reviews; or, pitch a question to computer
expert Don Crabb; or listen to the latest audio releases via RealAudio
No great news coverage here but the graphics
are neat, the layout clean, and this is perhaps a good model for budding
online newspaper designers. The weather page graphics are cute!

The Belfast Telegraph has been innovative in
creating an interface that uses a parchment metaphor. The design is simple,
elegant and the colors work wonderfully well. Index tabs down the side
let users move between different sections.
Bright, bold British tabloid on the Internet.
The Daily Record and Sunday Mail are typical of the many colorful tabloids
published in the United Kingdom. Their transition to cyberspace sees all
the content you would expect from the print media versions.
