Scarborough was the UK's first seaside resort. But watch out, there's the awesome destruction of the German naval bombardment of 1914 before you can savour all the traditional magic of the Great British seaside. Inspired by the concept, leading playwright and local figure Alan Ayckbourn contributed to the colourful scripts that imbue the storytelling with conviction and character, bringing you closer to history than you'd ever imagined.
