All in the Family: Look for writer/director Nora Ephron's (This is My Life, Sleepless in Seattle, Mixed Nuts) little sister Delia's new novel Hanging Up to hit bookstores in a week and movie screens in a year. The 40-something writer has tackled her first ever semi-autobiographical book in Hanging Up, which has just been optioned by Tri Star. Keeping it all in the family, big sis Nora is slated to direct the pix.

Reel Life: "Days of Our Lives" star Deidre Hall will play herself in "Deidre Hall's Story: After All." The two hour ABC-TV movie will be based on Hall's real life long-term battle to overcome infertility. The movie, slated for the 95-96 season, was written by Hall's husband, writer/producer Steve Sohmer. The couple now has two young sons through a surrogate mother.

Gift Giving: Not only is handsome hunk Antonio Banderas one of the hottest actors in Tinseltown with the debut of "Desperado," but he is also a very generous lover. The sexy Latin recently presented girlfriend of four months Melanie Griffith with a solid diamond necklace for her 38th birthday fashioned with an "A" and "M" also in diamonds.
