"I am confident that the whole history of the human race contains no
such horrible episode as this. The great massacres and persecutions of
the past seem almost insignificant when compared to the sufferings of the
Armenian race in 1915."

Those who forget the past will be destined
to repeat it . . . A statement that rings
true now as it has throughout history. Human beings have time and again
suffered the consequences of not learning from their past - of not caring
about anything until it pertained to them. Well the time has come for us
as a race to realize that every event effects human beings, whether it
be good or bad. The Armenian Genocide was not the first or last genocide
to occur in human history - what makes it unique are a few factors:
First off, it was the first genocide of the 20th century. It was the first systematic, widespread attempt at the execution of an entire race through "modern" means. It was a precursor and blueprint for similar genocidal ideologies in the future, such as the Jewish Holocaust. What makes the Armenian Genocide unique among 20th century genocides above all else is that it has to this day gone, for the most part, ignored and unrecognized. This page is dedicated to doing a small part in informing people of the atrocities suffered by the Armenian nation at the hands of the Ottoman Turkish government. Turkey still denies that the genocide ever occured, and they allocate vasts amount of money and political lobby to make sure the Armenian people are denied recognition and reparations for the pain. I hope that people can see through some of the things provided on this page that the capacity for human hatred and destruction is astounding. The lengths human beings will go through to inflict pain and suffering on their own kind is at times sick. But this page is also a tesimony to the resiliency and toughness inherent in human beings. It is about one nation that was singled out for extermination. A nation that was systematically subjected to to the worst kinds of torture and the greatest horrors mankind had ever seen. A nation and people that was very nearly wiped out. A nation that survived, and has since then flourished into an independently democratic republic today. A nation that has triumphed. Please join me in going through some of the events, horrors, aftermaths, and victories in the spirit of man. Please be forewarned that this is not a page that will hide any facts, details, pictures, or opinions for the sake of being politically correct. I will not attempt to appease anyone by sugar-coating any of my thoughts or feelings. It tore me apart as an Armenian to construct this page, and have to re-live the pain each time I made an addition. This is not an attempt to re-write history, as Turkey and its powerful lobby have done for so long. This is a blunt view at a horrific event in human history, and I make no attempt to ridicule and mock the suffering of a nation by making it seem less than it is. There is a fire that burns within each Armenian, and that is a fire that cannot be extinguished. Reynold Khachatourian |

"If I could ressurect these dead dog Armenians, I would - just so I could kill them all again."-Documented in Greece by a witness to the speech of a high ranking Ottoman Turk official. |
