Welcome to the BT Global Challenge Picture Library and Media Centre which gives everyone quick access to an evolving library of pictures covering the world's toughest yacht race. The BT Global Challenge began on September 29, 1996, when 14 identical, 67 foot steel yachts left Southampton to start a 30,000 mile journey, against prevailing winds and currents. A journey which will take them to four continents and stopping at five countries before returning to the UK in July 1997.

The Picture Library contains a wide range of photography: skippers and crew at work; race action and the best of the race coverage from BT Global Challenge official race photographer Mark Pepper and his colleagues. Visitors can simply browse through the latest shots or place an order for pictures which catch their eye. Click on the Picture Library icon to enter the Picture Library.

The Media Centre is designed to let accredited media receive the very latest pictures and news about the race and the action behind the scenes. Once accredited, by registering a user name and password, journalists can receive images electronically.
