This photo of a Komodo dragon (a type of monitor lizard that grows to be up to ten feet in length and is native to certain islands in Indonesia, west of Java) was taken at MetroZoo in Miami, Florida, several weeks before Hurricane Andrew hit and destroyed much of the zoo in 1992. The image was printed (8 x 10), scanned using a Hewlett Packard Scanjet IIc and edited in Photoshop 2.5.1.
