Follow me out of the forest for a minute. I want to show you a real, live dinosaur. That's right. It's a Great Komodo Dragon. He's the world's biggest lizard, weighing in at about 50 kgms and measuring 2.8 meters. The Komodo Dragon is a true prehistoric relic, a meat eater that has literally been around since the Jurassic period. And we're especially lucky to see one here, because it's not usually a rain forest species, being restricted mostly to the open, arid coastal savannah on the Indonesian islands of Komodo, Padar and Rinca. If you happened to visit Bali (yes, that's right, Bali. Bali in only one province of Indonesia. I have met a lot of people and when asked, 'I've never been to Indonesia, but I've visited Bali twice'), you can take a day break to explore Komodo island, It's near Bali.
