Archived Pages from 20th Century!!
As an avid herp collector and the lack for information on herps on the internet, I have decided to make this page specially for the better understanding and care of amphibians and reptiles, mostly frogs. I have noticed there is not a lot of info on rare or expensive frogs. I will put any information I find on frogs or other unusual amphibians on this page. There is a lot of information floating around about common Green Tree Frogs and other common amphibians. I want to have information on the most common types of poison dart frogs and more complete info on how to breed red-eyed tree frogs, mantellas and dart frogs. This page has come a long way in the two years that its been up, its at the point now where I'm actually helping others and others are helping me with ideas and hints(my original purpose for this page). If you have any info you would like to contribute, you can write me and tell me what to include.
I have owned these frogs over the past few years: 4 Golden Mantellas, 12 Red-Eyed Tree Frogs, 2 Reed Frogs, 4 Monkey Tiger-Striped Tree Frogs, 2 Green Dart Frogs, and 5 Dyeing Dart Frogs. As of now, I only have the Mantellas and the Dart Frogs, due to college coming up. I sold my Red-Eye colony and the other frogs. When I get myself situated at college and have a steady income, I will probably get some more Red-Eyes. I have a 10 gallon vivarium in which 3 of the Dyeing Dart Frogs live in, and one Green Dart Frog. The others live in a 35 hex. All my tanks have live plants, moss and running water to make it as natural as I could possibly make it.
Thanks for all the e-mails people have sent me, telling me that they like my page, and actually used my information, you are the reason its still up.
(9-9-97)Well, I'm at college now, my frogs made it ok, but food is alot harder to find here, If I don't find a pet store around here(St. Petersburg, FL) that carries fruitflys or pinhead crickets, I'm going have to get rid of my last three dart frogs.
