From its first anticipated theatrical debut on the big screens of last
summer 1997, Tokimeki Memorial Movie will finally be making its
way into the home theater market on VHS formats in early February 1998.
Starring popular young actresses,
Kanako Emoto, Emily Nakayama, Akiko Yada, and Sayoka Yamaguchi, the movie
focuses on the friendship and adolescent life of high school students,
while working summer jobs at a seaside cafe.
Brief
Synopsis
Akihiko, a student at a nearby
high school located close to Seto Inland Sea, was quiet and had no girlfriend
when one day learns that 4 popular girls from his school would be working
as part timers at the "Mambo Cafe" during the summer. He decides to work
there in hopes of gaining their friendship, but soon learns that another
student Kousuke, who came to know the girls since childhood, was
also working there.
Kousuke and the girls
were a regular at the summer jobs and did not readily accept Akihiko,
only to treat him harshly. The more Akihiko tries to be accepted,
the more he seems to foul up.
One day, a new girl shows up
at the Mambo Cafe looking for Akihiko. A childhood friend of Akihiko,
it was idol Fujisaki Shiori...

has been a rather relaxing past few days, and as much as I would like it
to last forever, the new year holidays are almost over and things should
start gearing up soon.
The LD
review for Saber Marionette OVA volume 2 has been posted, and
with volume 3 only but a few weeks away from release (01.25), the review
for volume 3 will shortly follow.
Upon receiving several similar
email suggestions for a japanese text version of this site, I will probably
start featuring the japanese version sometime later in Spring. |

The 97 year went by rather quickly before realizing it...here is wishing

I finally got around to posting
an LD
review for Saber Marionette J OVA volume 1 - the review for
volume 2 is also underway as well and will be posted within the next few
days.
As the message board is almost
setup and ready to go, it should be available by next week after a little
more tweaking and testing with the scripting. |

I have decided to soon remove
all Ranma

| A rather
funny thing happened at this year's Hashimoto christmas gathering - when
it finally came time for the traditional gift exchange, I had ended up
receiving 2 similarly sized packages, just large yet thin enough to easily
guess that they were LDs of some sort.
Upon opening those very gifts,
to my surprise they were both of the recently released Saber Marionette
J ova volume 2 LDs! (^^); As
you can probably imagine the shock, I guess this would mean that I would
now have 3 of the same LDs at hand (I had already bought my copy of the
LD before Christmas) ......tohoho m(_ _)m
Anyway, it seems I will unfortunately
not be able to finish the idol page for Romantic Mode in time for
this month's feature idol, as I recently received notice that the cds I
ordered will not be able to make it until mid January, mainly due to the
ongoing new years festivities in japan.
So, in the mean time Date
Kyoko will be temporarily featured.
The new
release cd schedule pages are currently being worked on, as well as
some other pages that will undergo some minor layout changes. |
