January 1996, NASA sent six astronauts into orbit aboard the space shuttle
Endeavour on a complex mission to retrieve a Japanese satellite. Astronauts
tells the behind-the-scenes story of the astronauts, their mission and
their families in a new 90-minute documentary premiering on PBS on July
16, 1997 (check local listings for date and time).
