Chicago, Illinois native Jenny McCarthy is co-host for MTV's Singled Out.
Raised in an Irish Catholic family with three sisters, McCarthy majored in nursing at Southern Illinois University for two years. Deciding to take a chance on Hollywood, she packed a U-Haul and drove across the country. She soon found work modeling and doing commercials.
McCarthy's talents were spotted by ESPN, and she went on to host the ESPN Maui Sports Challenge, a watersports competition for women. The network also enlisted her to host segments for the ESPN Fitness Club. McCarthy's television credits also include a guest starring role on Silk Stalkings. Her motion picture debut came with the film Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead opposite Andy Garcia and Christopher Walken.
This fall, McCarthy will be the on field color commentator for Fox Broadcasting Company's telecasts of the Chicago Bears games.
McCarthy says she enjoys working on Singled Out because the show reveals the "goofy and fun" sides of her personality. In her spare time, she enjoys karate, kick boxing and ice skating.
