Each Christmas finds me longing....

For Christmases now past...

And I am back in childhood...

As long as memories last.

Each Christmas I remember....

The fragrance in the air..

Of roasting turkey and pumpkin pies..

And cookies everywhere..

Each Christmas I remember....

The ones of long ago...

I see our mantelpiece adorned...

With stockings in a row....

Beloved friends we treasure...

Around a twinkling tree...

The road that leads to Christmas...

Is lined with memory...

..

Twas the night before Christmas...

And all through the house...

Not a creature was stirring .....

Not even a mouse...

A bundle of toys he had flung on his back..

And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack..

The Baby in the manger...

Will be our guiding light..

For He was born Our Savior on this..

Holy Silent Night...

Merry Christmas....
