Sportswear innovator Ron Chereskin, has covered the wide spectrum of design oriented professions. Painter, Illustrator, Industrial Designer, Print Maker, Menswear and Womenswear Designer are all outstanding chapters in his life. Incorporating his background and knowledge as an American artist, Ron Chereskin created a sensation in the menswear market in the early 1980's by the introduction of cotton with texture and creative appeal. This combined with his individual approach to color, was at the time considered to be advanced and contemporary during a dormant period in menswear which lacked fashion excitement. Winner of a special COTY AWARD 1980 and the 1983 CUTTY SARK AWARD for outstanding sportswear, artist/designer, Ron Chereskin, has repeatedly proven his innovative style. Through the strength of his sportswear furnishings, he has gained acceptance and widespread appeal. Each season, Chereskin looks to his American heritage for inspiration by developing themes to interpret in color and pattern, providing the customer with comfortable, fashionable and affordable clothing that can easily be integrated into a man's wardrobe. |
