Ahoy! You've docked at Muppet Treasure Island
Come ashore and enjoy the online treasures of the Muppets' latest big screen extravaganza -- a rollicking, music and laugh-filled action epic based on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic tale of a young boy's search for adventure (and treasure) on the high seas.
MUPPET TREASURE ISLAND
NOW ON VIDEO
When old Billy Bones (Billy Connolly) gives Jim Hawkins (Kevin Bishop) a tattered treasure map, young Hawkins begins the adventure of his lifetime as he sets out for treasure with his friends Gonzo and Rizzo. With the help of the half-wit son of Squire Trelawney (Fozzie Bear), Hawkins and his friends get a ship, a Captain (Kermit the Frog), and a mysterious galley cook, Long John Silver (Tim Curry). Silver befriends young Hawkins and teaches the lad about the sea. All seems well on the high seas.
But things are not as they appear, and Long John Silver turns out to be a pirate who wants the treasure for his dastardly crew. Can the seafaring crew of Muppets defeat Silver and his evil friends? Will the ship pass inspection from first mate Mr.Arrow (Sam Eagle)? And what about the alluring Benjamina Gunn (Miss Piggy) -- can her feminine powers overcome Captain Smollett? The answers to these and other questions can be found at a theater near you beginning on February 16.
There's no fool's gold here! Hunt for real MTI booty. Read the ship's log of the Hispaniola to hear the INSIDE story from the whole crew. Let Statler and Waldorf (mis)guide you through an archipelago of clips, interviews, production shots, fun and games. And, if you're asking yourself, "Can a frog really fence?" here's your chance to read about Muppet Treasure Island "Behind the Seams."
Batten down the hatches, weigh the anchor, and swash the buckles...next stop, Muppet Treasure Island!!
