Poborsky
completes switch
Karel Poborsky finally signed his contract with Manchester United at
a Prague hotel on Monday night.
He joins an enlarged squad, which also includes Dutch star Jordi
Cruyff from Barcelona, goalkeeper Raimond van der Gouw from Vitesse Arnhem
and Norwegians Ronnie Johnsen and Ole Gunnar.
Poborsky said: "I hope that I can bring to Manchester the
same good performance as I brought here." United signed the Czech
Republic international earlier in the month for 3.5 million.
It likely that he will make his United debut at the weekend
in the four-club tournament in Nottingham. He will fly to Milan to be with
his new colleagues as they prepare for the clash against Inter Milan in
the San Siro Stadium on Wednesday night.
